One Unexpected Thing I’m Grateful For

1 Thessalonians 1:2-3, thanksgivingThis morning I was reading Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians. He told them, “We give thanks to God always for all of you, making mention of you in our prayers; constantly bearing in mind your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father” (1 Thessalonians 1:2-3).

I thought, ” I think the same thing about my readers!

Many of you have read some of my struggles, seasons of life where I couldn’t find one thing to be thankful for.

This year, I’m not taking gratitude for granted. I have many things to be genuinely thankful for; the ability to be grateful is first and foremost.

And I’m also so, so grateful for you, dear reader. That you take a few minutes each week to come here and read what God’s putting on my heart humbles and amazes me. Thank you for that.

I pray that you have a better understanding than ever before how long and wide and deep and high God’s love is for you this Thanksgiving.
